The primary objective of the Biology Teaching Program is to train teachers who have sufficient knowledge and expertise in the field of biology, have acquired teaching qualifications, can think creatively, flexibly, and systematically, have achieved psycho-social adjustment, have gained an appreciation for art and aesthetics, and can keep up with contemporary innovations.
Students who have obtained the required score for our Department from the LYS exam and have been placed in our Department based on their LYS preferences are accepted for undergraduate studies.
Individuals who graduate from this program are entitled to receive a Bachelor's degree in Biology Teaching (Bachelor of Science) and can thus work as Biology Teachers.
Students who successfully complete this program can be employed as biology teachers in public and private educational institutions affiliated with the Ministry of National Education, or as research assistants in universities.
Currently, the Biology Teaching Program under the Department of Biology Education is not accepting new students.
